[Good news! The advent calendar has been replaced by the birth of Jesus!]
A king out of Bethlehem, Part I
If you’re following The Story, this week brings us to the story of David, the shepherd who becomes the king. God loves David, and David – bucking the trend of several kings before him - loves God with extraordinary faithfulness and obedience. (until he doesn’t, but that comes later).
For now, times are good in Jerusalem.
Join one of our weekly discussion groups and explore The Story, a narrative arrangement of the Bible designed to be read over 31 weeks. You just might be surprised at how the story of God and his people fits into your own story today. Groups meet at 11 a.m. Sundays at St. Paul and 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Silver Maples.
Still not feeling it?
Sit back, close your eyes and enjoy this blast from the past – a 2008(ish) performance of “On This Still and Silent Night” featuring the St. Paul Chancel Choir, Ilya Blinov on piano and Cal Bauer on violin.
